K-pop Group STAYC's Jersey Mix-Up Wins Hearts in Glasgow
In a charming twist of fate, K-pop girl group STAYC inadvertently delighted Scottish soccer fans during their recent concert in Dallas, Texas. As reported by the UK's BBC on the 25th, while the six-member group intended to wear the jersey of the Texas Rangers - the baseball team that had just secured their spot in the World Series - they mistakenly donned the blue of the Glasgow Rangers instead.
The Texas Rangers, based in Texas, had just celebrated a decisive victory against the Houston Astros, last year's World Series champions, with a score of 11-4 in the American League Championship Series (ALCS) Game 7.
However, the jersey STAYC wore during their Dallas performance was of the same blue hue as that of the Glasgow Rangers, leading many to believe it was a mix-up in color and team name.
But as serendipity would have it, fans of the Glasgow Rangers were over the moon. The jersey STAYC wore coincidentally resembled the iconic 1996-1997 home kit worn by the Glasgow Rangers when they clinched the Scottish League Cup. Highlighting the enthusiastic response, the BBC even shared a social media post that read, "Glasgow Rangers are the kings of K-pop stars."
Sometimes, the best moments come from unexpected mix-ups!
