Jin, a member of the globally renowned K-pop group BTS, has completed his military service.
On the morning of the 12th, Jin, the eldest member of BTS, was discharged from the military after fulfilling approximately 18 months of mandatory service. Jin, who was the first in the group to enlist, officially completed his service at around 8:50 AM at the 5th Infantry Division recruit training center in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi Province.
Upon exiting the military facility, Jin was greeted by his fellow BTS members, who appeared to have taken leave to welcome him back. RM celebrated Jin’s discharge with a saxophone performance. Jin hugged his fellow members and waved to the photographers present.
The remaining BTS members—J-Hope, Suga, RM, V, Jungkook, Jimin, and Suga—are still serving. J-Hope is set to be discharged in October, while RM, V, Jimin, Jungkook, and Suga will complete their service by June next year.
Jin is scheduled to meet fans at an offline event, “2024 FESTA,” at the Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Songpa-gu, Seoul, on the 13th. During the first part of the event, Jin plans to hold a hugging session for 1,000 fans, followed by a second part where he will interact and communicate with his supporters.
